Seven Lakes Valley in Autumn | Dolina Triglavskih jezer
Seven Lakes Valley
Watching the sun rising from the horizon brings so much energy in the life. Even though this means getting up early and hiking in the dark it feels quite stunning. Have you ever hiked under the millions of stars, in a total quietness, where you could hear your heart beat and see the wind trying to find its way around the trees?
Autumn is a very special time for landscape photography. Larch forests are simply breathtaking and since larch is my favourite type of the tree, I’m extremely impressed seeing them preparing for a winter rest. It is a little bit like myself – after a looong working season, getting ready to finally have some time off during the winter months. 🙂
This week I took advantage of perfect weather conditions and went via Komarča to Sedmera Jezera Valley (Seven Lakes Valley, 1685 m) where Urška & Luka joined me later on. Next morning we woke up early enough to hike up Tičarica (2071 m). Quite a steep hike for 6 am. But we managed to catch the sunrise looking back to the valley painted all yellow and green.
I really love mornings like these and I wouldn’t replace them for anything.
