Rafting on a Kaituna river is definitely one the best activities you can do on a North Island (Rotorua Rafting).  The tour itself is short, but sweet. Jumping over the highest commercially rafter waterfall (7 meters) is an outstanding experience everyone should try.

The main purpose of traveling there was not only to do another rafting trip, but mostly to visit my Slovenian friends Andraž and his girlfriend Ana. Andraž is an extreme kayaker, a member of Balkan Rivers Tour and Ana is probably the biggest support he could ever wish to have. She is one the warmest people I’ve had a chance to hang out with on this trip, we could easily spend hours discussing life, admiring Soča Valley in words and sharing a fulfilled experiences from all over the world. Thank you guys for having me over, I really appreciate the warmth of your house and thank you Andraž for taking me kayaking the Kaituna river, that’s the most memorable experience of my trip so far. It wasn’t easy and a bit intense at some points, but I loved it.
