Bergen | Norway
In Autumn I visited Stockholm for a wedding conference, Way Up North. After the conference was finished, I gave myself an extended weekend off to travel around. Due to bad weather conditions, my first plan of going kayaking to Stockholm Archipelago, was cancelled. At the same time I got an invitation to visit Bergen, which is known as one of the rainiest places in Europe, but not the following weekend. Sunny Bergen – yes, please! 😉
I’ve been to Norway before and it always inspired me. This time I had three days to discover the city. First day, I did 7 hours round walk to Urliken, Floyen and returned to the city. The route is quite busy, but the views are amazing.
Second day me & Harald (my host) went fishing & taking photos to one of the Islands nearby. Harald said, bringing girls for fishing brings bad luck, but I think I was quite good in fishing for the first time 😉
The third day Bergen gave me no sun anymore, the weather changed back to »normal« (cloudy). I used the darker day for walking around the city, taking photos of an interesting front doors & windows. Scandinavians love details. Everything has its sense.
Thanks to Harald and Silje for letting me stay with you. See you in Slovenia! 😉
